the portion of humanity preselected to attain astrosis and to undergo transcension as contrasted with the Disephate; views on how preselection takes place vary among Astronists with some focusing on the concept of scope entirely while others attribute preselection to divine intervenience.

Astro-English: from Astronese, the adjective astrotic is used to denote astrosis or the process of its achievement so when adjoined to the word elect, the resulting meaning is “a select number of individuals elected for achieving astrosis.”
