The Philosophy of Astronomy is the thirty-first instalment in the Little Blue Book Series and comprises both the forty-ninth and fiftieth discourses of the Monodoxy, which is itself the first disquisition of the Omnidoxy, Astronism’s founding book. The Philosophy of Astronomy discourse that forms the first part of this publication is principally concerned with the application and interaction between Astronic and Astronist beliefs and principles in relation to society in philosophical, ideological, political, economic, and religious contexts. In addition, the role, purpose, and central future functionalities of astronomy are contemplated which are then connected to the beliefs and ideals held within Astronism itself.

The second part of this publication is titled The Prophetical Cosmos which is an intriguing discourse that returns to the topic of Astronist futurology and explores one of the most important and central topics within cosmontology, the future of humanity in The Cosmos. As a subsequent topic, the prophecies of Cometan are espoused in this discourse regarding humanity’s future in The Cosmos which all have significant impacts on the Astronist belief system, particularly regarding futurological beliefs and principles within Astronism.

The Little Blue Book Series was created and first published by Cometan himself as a way to simplify and commercialise the immensity of the two million word length of the Omnidoxy into smaller, more bite-size publications. A successful series from its very first published entry, the Little Blue Book Series has gone on to become a symbol of Astronist commercial literature and a way for Cometan’s words to reach readers of all ages and abilities who remain daunted by the beauty and yet the sheer extensiveness of the Omnidoxy as the longest religious text in history.
